Angie Headshots
Let's talk about retouching. Retouching is a "touchy" subject. When done properly, you can look awesome and still look like you. When retouching is overdone, you can look plastic and casting directors can spot that from a mile away. So do you really need retouching? Well, let's just say that in this competitive town, you need all the help you can get.
My philosophy is this: A headshot can be great, but with proper digital post-processing, that same shot can take someone's breath away and make them pick up the phone and give you a call. When I retouch, I focus on basic but prominent problems that can distract someone from seeing you. For example, if you have some temporary blemishes, I take that out. If you've only slept for two hours last night and have bags and circles under your eyes, I can make you look like you had a full night's rest. I whiten your eyes and teeth in a natural manner and even out your skin tone. I also adjust the colors in your shot so that it demands to be picked up amongst a pile of a hundred headshots sitting on the agent's or casting director's desk.
